Its the day after Friday the 13th, aside from the Pens losing a second straight playoff game to the Flyers nothing really crazy happened on Friday the 13th.  I was very productive though so maybe thats what was creepy and off about the 13th lol.  I got a few new articles up, although nothing happened on this page (and it should have, I apologize to my loyal followers who don't exist yet.)  I will have loyal followers though... eventually this blog is going to be AWESOME.  Or maybe it will be RAD as one of my best friends would put it.  As for today I have a few hours before I head to work and I should attempt to be more productive this morning but after yesterday I am just not feeling it.

I am attempting to clean out my DVR right now by watching some of the many many shows that I have recorded and haven't found time to catch up on.  I actually have 12 episodes of more than one show to watch.  Yea, I am behind for sure.  I think I wish I could watch more TV than I actually can.

I have a feeling my night at work tonight is going to be very hectic, but since this blog is not work related I guess I won't get into that.  But I will say its going to be a late night.

I recently started writing for another website (yea I know just what I need.... another site!) But so far its been fun, a lot of collaborative work with other writers, it helps fuel my writing and lets some great debates start.  It of course is sports related because well lets face it, that's what I know. Go check it out The Daily Shootout. Maybe one day someone will stumble upon once of my many articles and posts and offer me some fantastic gig that will let me work on things I really enjoy.  Not that I don't like my day job because for the first time in a long time I actually do.  But who wouldn't want to write opinion pieces for great pay for a living?? Sign me up.

Crap I just realized that I need to get off here.  Keep your fingers crossed for the Pens to finally win a few games.

Today has been hectic and yet boring all at the same time.  How is that possible? Oh believe me it is.  I'm actually off today, but by being off from my full time paying job I am spending the day doing things around the house.  The highlight of my day so far has been taking the sheets off the bed and doing laundry.... so much laundry.  I don't know how on earth I have this much laundry.  Next on the agenda is washing the dishes that are stacked in my sink, mostly glasses because I am always walking around drinking something.  Then of course comes cleaning the bathroom, the rest of the kitchen, and then entire rest of the house.  How exactly is this a day off?

On the bright side me and my rotten little dog enjoyed a walk this morning around the block a few times.  She peed on everything.... well at least she tried to, after a few stops she was basically just pretending.  That walk refreshed me enough to sit down and get a little writing done, and by a little I do mean a little.... I am no where near finished with any of my projects, but they are all started.  I guess thats a good thing.  The funny thing is I have all these projects going and yet I am on here blogging about how busy I am.  HAHA I could be getting something off my list, but noooooo.  Okay, motivation here I come! I am going to actually get some things done.... after I check my email, facebook and twitter.....

I have decided on a new way to headline my posts.  The first number is the day from blog creation, the second number is the post that day.  So todays is 1.2  for day 1 and the 2nd post of the day.  That might all change tomorrow but right now it seems different and I like different.


I tried to take a nap after my previous post but my favorite little dog tried to sleep across my neck and well.... that made it hard for me to sleep.... and breath.  Then I thought we got things situated and I was almost asleep when she decided that she wanted to lick every single inch of my face, including my eyeball and up my nose.  At this point I realized that my nap was not going to happen.


Instead I was not productive at all and watched some horrible TV for a little while then headed to my parents house.  Today was my dad's 50th birthday!  We had a nice steak dinner and spent some quality time with most of my family.  One of my brothers was unable to make it since he is a new dad and well.... new dads and babies dont travel well. haha  If you would like to keep up with his adventures (and they are seriously great adventures) you can do so here Daily Adventures Of A New Dad.


Anyway, I hung out with the parents and my youngest bro for a bit and then headed home to try to get some writing done. (yes this counts as some writing)  I write for several online sites and also keep this blog and one other blog going, I actually enjoy doing it as a hobby and its starting to become somewhat profitable.  If anyone has suggestions on how to make it more profitable I am absolutely willing to listen. Then maybe I could retire from my day job and write full time! That would be GREAT!


Time to kick back, relax and catch the rest of the Pirates game.... lets hope they win! (they are losing at the moment 2-1)
